Political Graffiti by AncientFlounder Political Graffiti by AncientFlounder
A stop sign found at the corner of Brush and Evergreen, here in Vegas. Even the signs have a voice.

Someone had done this in my town in 07 to about 42 stop signs which cost about 46,000 $ for the city to replace.
The writing looks almost exact. I didn't feel it to be an effective slogan at the cost of community funds.

All around Seattle we have signs that say "Stop for me it's the LAW" with a person in the standard walking pose. What someone decided to do was spray paint a C in front of law and draw a hilarious little claw on the walking person. Every time I see one I smile. Street sign fun shouldn't be illegal if you can still read the sign; it brings humor and life to a cookie cutter object. Here is one: [link]

You must be close by, then. lol

They've given that stop a shiny new sign a while back. Kinda sucks, but what can you do?

i live in vegas too, the ones near my house all say "STOP driving!"

how ironic.. brake the law to prove a point, but a stop sign for cars says stop driving.. i should take a picture of it.

It is cool! I like this. You are right, signs DO have voices. So too do rocks, if you believe the one of the articles written on [link] . . . I'm adding this to my Favourites!

Well, either way, it was a cool find. If it was from a local crew, that's even better. Though, they've replaced the sign since then, as far as I can remember.

A popular stopsign adlib back when I was a kid in Seattle was the "EATING ANIMALS" sticker. I was more concerned whether it meant cars actually had to stop there any more.

That's good, that's good.

Now make it a lynx meat triple decker sandwich. Enjoy some poached bald eagle eggs. Partake of the shishkabob derived from other endangered species our world just can't feasibly exist without.

Anyone else find it ironic that the only way these people have to voice themselves on something they consider a crime is to commit a crime themselves?

is it a crime if it's victemless? afterall, its only a crime becuase the people they protest against say so.

maybe that's the only way the authorities will listen. people like you are the reason nothing ever changes and people just go on doing things for their own selfish reasons. if you don't believe something is right you need to stand up and fight back with whatever tools and means you see fit. you really need to read my newest journal entry on my page.

Kind of like how fundies kill doctors who do abortions in order to preserve life (an extreme example, but along the same line of thinking)?

Thus is the world we live in
