Into the time-warp
A detour is taken
This place is dusty and neglected
Yet it lives and breathes
At a point passed up
A checkpoint on the road
This car blew threw
Miles and miles before
Forms wandering the sidewalks
Living, breathing...yet not
A point on their minds
Fuzzy and convoluted
Have they been forgotten?
A punishment for some deed
Even misplaced by themselves?
A cruel joke, maybe?
A master in the clouds
Pulling the strings for his amusement
Watching everything unfold
Gassing up is all that is required
Tuning up for the road
The destination nearby
This twilight zone serving
As a important reminder
To weary travelers passing by
Stop here and stop forever
Lost to time, to the world...to purpose
